Sh276mn spent on revamping health facilities in Nyamira

Over Sh276 million has been spent in revamping health facilities in Nyamira County.   Governor John Nyagarama says they have pumped at least Sh211 million towards the purchase of hospital equipment.   Germany, Finland and Global Fund added Sh65m worth of equipment said the Governor.   The money excludes funds the County has used so far to establish additional 13 new health centres.   The County has now 100 rural.... Kenya: Experts Explore New Way of Preventing HIV Contraction

New plan to improve cancer treatment at a lower cost

Scientists develop new mosquito trapping for tropical Africa

Kenyan and Dutch scientists have developed a mosquito trap, which uses "human odour" to attract the malaria-carrying insects.   The researchers from the Nairobi-based International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) said the new Solar-Powered Mosquito Trapping system is baited with a synthetic odour blend that mimics human odour.   The research was conducted between 2012 and 2015 in a project known as.... Improving patient access to kidney transplantation

Tanzania: Sh176 Billion to Expand Aga Khan Hospital

Kenya: Insurance Firms Eye Sh5.6 Billion Medical Cover for Teachers
